Infrared Products:

A transmitter is placed on the TV or stereo and sends the sound to the receiver headset via an invisible beam of light. Infrared devices may also be used in movie theaters, churches, and other venues equipped with compatible equipment.

Frequency Modulated (FM) Products:

15)Understanding speech in a noisy environment can be extremely challenging. Fortunately, there are several products that assist in overcoming the common problems of hearing in a reverberant and noisy environment, and hearing with distance between the person speaking and the person listening. An FM system consists of a wireless FM microphone/transmitter and a lightweight receiver worn around the neck, even under clothing. The receiver works with the telecoil in the hearing aid. The microphone can be worn by the speaker or placed on a table near the speaker, or can receive input directly from a stereo, computer, or television.
